17Th.

Finally updated my blog.

I've been working for Haven & Earth's Ayataka that's why I was too busy and tired to blog.
And I'm honestly getting very lazy to blog but whatever.

Even though it was quite tiring, it was fun and I managed to make a lot of great new friends.

Since the Haven & Earth event is over, I can finally blog!
I'm finally gonna blog about my birthday.
I actually wrote it quite some time ago but didn't post it.
So TADA, here it is.

20th August 2013, the day I finally turned 17.

So I went to Bugis with my girls from TP for brunch and some shopping.

We decided to eat at Seoul Garden.
And my girls are so kind to treat me. (:

Just look at all the food!

Our dear Salimah was the one cooking for us.
Even though she's one of the youngest among us, she's the most mature one.

My bowl of chocolate & vanilla ice cream that Zoe helped me scoop.

Our desserts!
The staff actually cleared Jazlin's bowl when she wasn't even done eating!
It was just so funny.

After lunch we did some shopping at Bugis Street.

It was a really great day spent with them.
I love them so much and really can't bear to separate from them next year.
If any of you girls are reading this, thanks for always being there for me.
Really glad I made friends with you girls.  (:

Came home with a Durain Cake waiting for me.

And look at 1/3 of the gift my sister bought for me.
I called it the "Help me decide what to wear dice"
Just in case you're wondering why, it's because one dice helps to decide on a colour and the other decides if I should wear a dress or vest, etc.
It's rather cool.

And here's a random picture of the cakes my design lecture bought for us the day after my birthday.
The butterscotch one is really nice!
Thanks 1D06, for the birthday songs. (:

Overall, it was an awesome birthday week!
What could be better than celebrating your birthday with your love ones?

This blog post is actually because I just wanted to take this chance to thank everyone.
Especially those who actually waited till 12am just to wish me.
And all those long messages.
I was really shocked when I received texts from some people.
Not just texts, long text with sweet messages inside.
I really didn't expect that because some of us drifted apart.
But once again, thanks everybody!
Thanks to all those who were always there for me. (:
Really glad I met all of you guys. ♥ (:

Antoinette.

Met SeokYin on the 5th of September at 6am just for filming.
We took the mrt to Clarke Quay and waited for about an hour for the filming to start.
It was fun and I can't wait to watch the movie!
Oh! Almost forgot to mention! It's an upcoming channel 5 telemovie called "Shy Man".
You guys should catch it! It seems interesting to me.
The three main cast are George Young, Shane and Benjamin Heng by the way.

Just a random picture of what I wore for the filming.

Kinda fail panorama shot of a building at Clarke Quay.
I thought there's four different cars in this picture but I just realised it's the same two cars!
Anyway, I just love this building!

Moving on, after filming and lunch at Clarke Quay, we headed down to Antoinette for high tea.
It is quite easy to get to Antoinette. It's about a 10 mins walk from Lavender MRT.
Oh ya, they have another three outlets too.

What I really love about this place is their decoration!
The cafe have a French feel to it.

Doesn't the celling look like a super big chocolate bar?

Even the sink in the toilet looks cool.

I think the menus looks cooler in black and white.

(Sorry if the pictures are blur. Couldn't take them properly due to the glass)

Antoinette is more known for their desserts.

We ordered Nougatine which is filled with nutella, salty caramel, caramelized filo, nougatine ice cream and vanilla creme chantilly.
It's a classic French style thin sweet pancake.
Well, it's a crepe actually. And it cost $16.

I really love this dish! It's crunchy on the outside but soft inside.
However it's a bit too sweet for me after awhile. But it's still nice.
Sharing it with someone would be a good idea. Unless you're a really good eater.
I think caramel lovers would really love this. It's just pure caramel goodness.
Overall, it's my favourite dish out of all that we tried.

We also had Chloe that cost $9.
It's yuzu cremeux with white chocolate vanilla mousse, light sponge cake and almond sable at the bottom.

I couldn't really taste white chocolate and I didn't really like it.
Well maybe because I don't like creamy stuff.
But the looks of this cake is rather cute. It looks like a small wedding cake.

We had to try their signature dish which is Antoinette that cost $10
It's a milk chocolate mousse infused with earl grey tea with dark chocolate earl grey tea cremeux, earl grey tea crumble and chocolate biscuit inside, not forgetting a raspberry coulis on top.

The chocolate mousse cake has an interesting taste but it tastes better if you burst open the raspberry coulis and eat them together.
I couldn't eat finish it because I was so full due to all the other dishes.
It's really too sweet and honestly I dislike mousse cakes. It's too creamy for me.
Thus I find this dish average.
But the chocolate biscuit and early grey crumble hidden inside is nice.

Lastly we ordered one Praline & one Rose Macaroons which is $2.50 each
The Praline is a milk chocolate macaroon with crispy hazelnut biscuit.
While the Rose is rose petal cream.

It's rather sweet. Or maybe it's because I ate too much sweet stuff in one day.
But it's still nice overall.

You should check out Antoinette if you really like desserts and sweet stuff.
I find it average but who knows? You might really like it instead!
